Why Agent Selection Is So Important

Why Agent Selection Is So Important

Our Sales Representatives and Agents Selection Policy has been established to ensure that ALARIS works with the top available agents in the territories where we do business, while also minimizing reputational and compliance risk to the company.

Therefore, it is extremely important that all ALARIS personnel responsible for agent selection follow our rigorous due diligence process.   Doing so will assure that the reps and agents we select to represent us fully align with ALARIS’ business ethics and culture, and that they are financially sound and credit worthy.

The Agent Selection Policy outlines the procedures and requirements for selection such as:

  • Completion of a needs assessment prior to onboarding any new reps or agents
  • Completing an agency request form outlining territory, key accounts, revenue targets and more
  • Agent solicitation steps
  • Recommendations for agent applications, screening and interviewing
  • Selection criteria
  • Agent Due Diligence Questionnaire
  • Agent references and background checks
  • Standard agreement offers
  • Causes for termination

Checking these boxes will help us assure that we have the right rep or agent for the right job in the right location.   By making sure this appointment is a good fit for both the company and the prospective sales representative, we will have laid the foundation for a potentially long and rewarding relationship for both.
